Brain cancer is...
...bringing more firsts.
We thought we'd just be letting you know that we were safely tucked into our room at UCLA, but in Life 2.0, we follow the adventures.First time...
...we've checked into a hotel room that has a name.
First time...
...Big D went out and about "topless" (without a hat).
First time...
...our walk led us to the nation's largest Ralph's store. It's so large that it has a bar (in addition to Starbuck's, yogurt bar, etc.). We didn't stop at the bar because three ambassadors led us by the elbow around the store, pointing us toward appropriate cheese, meat, and olive pairings. Next time you're over, we'll show you the map. We ate all the olives.
First time...
...an actress (her choice of terms) named Gina served us a wonderful lunch. This could have, by itself, been a connect-the-dots story (Gina's 23 just like Zach. Gina loves Santa Barbara, just like Zach and Summer. Gina loves the Fess Parker, just like Darrell and Andi), but here's where it gets interesting: Gina stayed at the Fess Parker in SB recently while she was filming a Lifetime movie called The Best Man. She's the comic relief drunk friend. Watch for her in August.
It could have been a connect-the-dots story, but instead it's another the-world-is-full-of-great people story.
These "firsts" were a great distraction from whatever tomorrow brings.
All our best to you and yours. We love LA.
