Brain cancer is...
...done with Big Tuesday.
Today was action packed, with many different sorts of adventures. We were at the park for our walk, eating peanut butter sandwiches, by 7 am. We spied our first night heron in a long time:
(Yes, Geoff, now you can relax.)
The early walk put Andi on campus in time for the faculty meeting and the math methods study group.
On a somber note, Andi and Ruth (as department chairs) were leading a faculty meeting in that same room 17 years ago today when the horrific events of 911 unfolded. Ten minutes into the meeting, campus was ordered closed, and we all evacuated. Everyone is still sad.
Darrell took Andi out to lunch for Chinese food that...gave us bragging rights...? The food wasn't great, but it was another adventure. Lunch date on Big Tuesday? Adventurous!
Andi taught Block 24 until 10 tonight. I regret not asking them for a new picture. You met Block 24 a year ago, in their first semester (Remember? Click here for the post.). Now they are in their final semester, writing their master's projects.
This I know: If one is to be on campus, teaching 6 hours straight on a Tuesday night, one could not choose better company than Block 24. Not only are they awesome people, but they are working on important issues that give reason for optimism for what can be accomplished in education by committed, passionate scholars.
Back home tonight, Darrell showed me his hard work. He calls it Jasmine Devastation:
I call it Jasmine Trim Job.
Good (late) night, Team D.
