Bonus European Vacation

Brain cancer is...

...heading for Ireland.

Today we head to Europe for our 35th anniversary.  (The actual date isn’t until 5/26.)

You know our anniversary mantra:  A wedding anniversary is the only holiday we need to work for.  Every other holiday comes and goes—in an awesome way but with no particular effort from us. Anniversaries must be celebrated voraciously.

Here we are, 5 years ago, celebrating our 30th anniversary in London.

In London, we picked Ireland for our 35th.  And then...brain cancer.

We erased Ireland from our travel list.  But given Darrell’s super hero status, the Emerald Isle jumped back onto the menu. 

This is an anniversary we didn’t think we’d see. This is the trip we didn’t think would happen.  We didn’t count on Darrell being here.  We didn’t know he would fly.  We didn’t know we’d ever see Europe again.  Living a bonus life is a great thing.

We are looking forward to wet, walking days and luxurious evenings....on the same cruise line as our Alaska trip: Silversea.
