Brain cancer is...

...finding hints of Alex in his daughter.

People had told us they see Alex in Nova.  We hadn't...yet.
When we looked again at the Nova pic we posted yesterday, we found Alex.

Of course Nova is captivating entirely on her own.  One of the things we love best is seeing how besotted both of her parents are with her.  Every baby deserves that much adoration.

As we shared house updates with friend Kristine today, we recognized a shopping habit that is a complement to our one-click routine:  We have been loving Goodwill.  

Goodwill is our charity of choice when we declutter, but lately we've been going in and buying other people's stuff.  Check out the difference a bigger, $15 mirror made in the guest room:

Much better.  Now we need to figure out where to put the small mirror.*
