Ecstatic

Brain cancer is...

...collapsing.

We just finished with Dr. Cloughesy.  The picture, above, shows that in last week's scan (right) there is no growth.  Even better, the tumor cavity appears to be collapsing.  That doesn't sound very aggressive at all, does it?  The edema hasn't changed much so Darrell will continue on steroids.

Darrell will have another MRI this month and will see Dr. Cloughesy at month's end to continue monitoring progress.

They (PAs, MDs) were all very interested in Optune 2.0.  It's the first time they'd seen the new system.  Darrell's the first So Cal superhero to receive it.

Alex texted asking how we feel.  I feel ecstatic.  Darrell's taking a while to let go of "anxious" and embrace "great!"

We think a Panera tuna sandwich might be just what the Dr. ordered.  (Thanks Nancy S!)

Thanks, Team D, for all of your good thoughts.  They are both effective and appreciated.
