And then we were at the top. (CA19-20)

Brain cancer is...

...so very open to adventures!

We should know that when the day starts with Darrell saying, "Take me somewhere new for lunch,” adventure loomed.

We thought we'd have breakfast, do our chores, walk by the lake, have lunch at a new place, and then be back home to work for Cabin Adventure '19 Day 20.

Breakfast and chores went as planned.  We did start our walk by the lake, but we didn't have enough steps when we ended up back at the Cougar Crest Trailhead.  Because Cougar Crest was finally dry enough, we decided to finish our walk doing some of the way up to the Pacific Crest Trail.

And then we were at the top.  Here's the video version:

Tomorrow is our last full day here, and weather is predicted.  So this hike was our grand finale.  It made us both very happy.

Then Darrell got his lunch at a new place:  Jasper's Smokehouse and Steaks. More happy.

What a trip Cabin Adventure '19 has been.

Sweet Moment Side Note

Right as we were hitting solid snow near the top, we met an old retired couple from Breckenridge, Colorado. We talked about their previous and next adventures, and we shared ours.  We can't tell you how sweet it feels to have made it to that club:  ORCC (Old Retired Couples Club).
