Brain cancer is...
...25 months old today.
Go Darrell, go! Above Mousse assists with the array change. Also celebrating with us at Yorba Regional Park were...
...of course a friendly dancing squirrel...
..and two great blue herons. Here's the one on the ground.
Finally...drum roll please...our first ever sighted...
...wood ducks!
As you see the male is very conspicuous in coloration. The female is far left in the first image. Wood ducks are known as some of the most highly colored American ducks. (Intrigued? Click here for more.)
You can see why we felt honored to have seen our first wood ducks on Darrell's 25-month anniversary.
Side note: You won't be surprised when I tell you that Darrell was briefly consumed by the question, "How much wood would a wood duck duck if a wood duck could duck wood?"
This evening we had a final celebratory toast...
...toast.
And here, Team D, is a toast toast to you and all the good in your lives!
