A Day in the Village

Brain cancer is...

...enjoying a day in Big Bear Lake Village.

The crew was up early today in order to get a Starbucks and make it to Big Bear Lake Brewing Company (above) for breakfast and to watch the US Women's Soccer Team win the World Cup.  Again.  Go, women, go!

Knowing that Beth and Geoff would head down the hill after lunch, we spent a very pleasant morning in the Village.  It's still green and flowery here, which feels particularly special for July.

We spent some time shopping.  As you see in the next two pics, Darrell has great fun shopping even though he doesn't buy anything.

Lunch was at Paoli's...

...with a really good pizza in a really nice setting.  Thanks for lunch, Szabos.  (Darrell and Andi were revisiting this scene; our first lunch at Paoli's was with Curt and Barb after a PCT hike in May, 2018--Here's the video link.)

The girls got matching Big Bear sweatshirts, as girls will do:

Heavy sweatshirts in July?  Sure! They are a guarantee of more adventures in store for future cooler times! 

By the way, the sweatshirt picture was taken on the cabin's lower deck.  Now we can say we've been there.
