Rain? Check!

Brain cancer is...

...getting answers to some of our questions.

Despite the fact that the iPhone changed its prediction from "rain" to "no rain" for this morning...it rained.  Plenty.  Good thing dinner on the patio was last night.

So that was one question resolved:  Rain prediction?  Not kidding.

Another was the question about the potential presence of rhizomes in your lives.  We heard from both Gail and Chris that they were--painfully--familiar with rhizomes.  Both stories involved hours and hours of difficult manual labor.  Both stories--happily--ended with triumph over rhizomes.  Chris defeated running bamboo rhizomes and thus verified LuAnn's advice for us to purchase clumping bamboo instead of running bamboo.

As a square inch of silver lining, Gail used her extra time at home to--just yesterday--claim victory over the 50-pound mass of clivia lily rhizomes that overgrew her walkway.  Without so much extra time, she may have ignored the Clivia Transplant/Removal Project.

Way to dig in, gals!

Today's question is:  Why are spider webs so awesome?
