Brain cancer is...

...staying true to "say yes more!"

Here are two important yes'es for the day.

1.  Darrell said  "yes" to Optune!

Nora and Darrell, authorizing Optune
The paperwork they are signing is the first step in the Optune company contacting our insurance company for authorization.  We'll work directly with the company upon approval.  The nurse will actually come to our home, teach us to manage the device, and visit frequently to check in.  Maybe we'll have an Optune party.  Only people wearing cool hats over shaved (or otherwise modified) scalps will be allowed past the bouncer.  Probably Darrell will say no to that. The authorization is an exciting step, nonetheless.

2.  Darrell and Andi said "yes" to another  day trip adventure:  Crystal Cove.

No wonder it's such a well loved spot!

Yes, you recognize Big D in the distance.  He moves fast!

We enjoyed lunch at the Beachcomber very much.  Tiny ahi tacos?  Delicious!  Thanks, friends, for this adventure.  We're learning so much about California wonders.

Thanks, too, for dinner, SDG.

Tomorrow is a big cancer battle day:
  • Penultimate radiation day
  • Appointment with Dr. Park to plan for maintenance phase
  • Speech therapy (ugh)

We here in So Cal are saying yes to rain predictions.

  2. Great news on the Optune! That's a "yuge" change for Darrell from the presurgery hospital room until now. He's being very brave and it's inspiring! I'm also all in for a Hat Party!

Thanks for keeping us all updated via this wonderful blog! Beth & I read it everyday, and sometimes twice! :0)
