Brain cancer is...
...conducting a complicated cheese division surgery.
Every year for Christmas Roene sends a coveted wheel of Maytag blue cheese to LuAnn for us to split two ways. We three love the cheese so much that it's usually a cause of major aggression.
One person might deny receiving the wheel. Another will hide the wheel, or someone might try to cut it into two very different-sized chunks. The resulting hostilities are deemed Cheese Wars.
(Want a historical perspective? Here's the 2017 Cessation of Cheese Hostility post.) Cheese Wars between Darrell and LuAnn, you may recall, are nearly as heated as Meat Fights (here). Vegans we are not.
Masks are definitely necessary for safety these days, and we all seem to be adjusting to smiling from our eyes. Here's an example at breakfast today:
Gordon's smile is wonderful, and Darrell's eyes are twinkling above his mask.
Perhaps you'll agree, though, that the purpose of a mask is safety and not to enhance one's look. Or so we thought until today's cheese episode.
Today masks transported our cheese separation from its typical battleground to a surgical suite, home of a careful and apparently collaborative activity. Look again:
It's like they are on the same cheese team! What a way to welcome the weekend.May you, too, find a look that really works with a mask.
(PS...Our chunk really is a little smaller, Mom. No big deal.)
Today's Blooms
Of all the beauties at LuAnn's today, none glowed with the sun as much as this leaf.
