Tuna Sandwich Revelations

Brain cancer is...

...a tuna sandwich connoisseur.

We made time for lunch today at--you guessed it--Panera. (Click here for an early Panera post.)  We saw a group of four people we love from CSUF.  We also saw our boys' martial arts grand master from years ago.  He took our table when we left.  Why wouldn't he remember us?  Puzzling.

But I digress.  Above you see that Darrell gave his beloved tuna sandwich a clear thumbs up.  Next came the shocking revelation:  He prefers Islands' tuna sandwich (the Moa Kai), on toasted egg bread, hold the cheese.

I was shocked.  Panera's tuna sandwich can be beat?  Whoa.  It was only very recently that Darrell and I together discovered the Islands' tuna sandwich.  For the first time ever, I consented to sharing a restaurant tuna sandwich on a date.  (See?  Darrell's not the only one doing sweet things out of love! I think tuna sandwiches at restaurants are a waste.  True love!)

I don't have the numbers, but I also suspect that the Islands' tuna sandwich is a better value:  A whole sandwich, not the half you see above at Panera for $12.00, and Islands gives fries, salad, or slaw instead of a bag of chips.  We'll report back once we verify costs.

You heard it hear first, Team D.

Darrell is coughing lots, clearing his lungs.  The concomitant abs workout is annoying to him.  He does report that his energy level is increasing daily. So that's good.
