Seeking Our Summer Stride

Brain cancer is...

 ...pretty sure summer is here.

We thought we had waited long enough to walk today (3:30 pm) to escape the heat.  Nope.  You see the three of us feeling pretty wilted, above. We clearly need to find our summer stride.

Beowulf, in particular, has work to do.  He walks plenty at home, but it typically takes a few park walks before he builds up the stamina not to accept a "carry assist" a few times during the walk.  Also, he is currently a sticker magnet.  We learned early in the walk to keep him away from any dry plant matter because stickers and twigs just leapt into his long and silky locks.  We spent much time pulling out the brambles.

We'll try an early morning walk tomorrow and stick to cement paths in attempts to hit our summer stride.

Happy Summer Sunday, Loved Ones!

Parent Updates

We saw Gordon this morning.  His progress is accelerating to the point that he will probably be in a regular hospital room when we see him tomorrow...out of ICU!  We had lunch with LuAnn. It was good to catch up after a week.  Yay.
