Anticipating Future Celebrations

...putting mimosas back on the menu.

The news is all good on Birthday Month Day 2.  Many family members met at Gordon's rehab facility for the release meeting.  That's the meeting where the team discusses the plan to get Gordon back home to the life (and food) he loves. 

Today we learned things like how to use assistive equipment properly, fall recovery, medicine, continued physical therapy, and home help.  We also learned about getting into and out of cars safely. We call that "car transfer.'

Gordon has one more week until release, and then it's back in the car for breakfast and mimosas.

Thumbs up to that! 

Also anticipating:  Tiana and Alex arrive tonight for birthday fun.

(PS...One thing we learned today is that, when going up stairs, we should all lead with the strong [or dominant] leg.  When going down stairs,we should lead with the weaker [less dominant] leg.  Sounds smart!)
