A Day at Sea

(Updated 7/18/18 with photos.)

 Brain cancer is...

[Clever photo of us all in formal attire, posing at the piano.  Bartender Jeffrey may or may not be included.]

...managing to stay busy.

Today was one of our two days spent at sea.  Tomorrow we make port in Ketchikan, first thing.

We managed to stay very busy.  We enjoyed Eggs Benedict together, got in 7 miles on the upper decks, and had lunch by the pool.  Darrell watched a swordfish leap from the sea.

The Guillaumes hosted canapes before our one formal night dinner.

Everyone looked very sharp.  With Beth's incredible iPhone 10 camera, the photoshoot was better than what we ever took of our kids before prom.

Curt looked so much like James Bond that he got his own photo shoot.

At dinner, the guy in the white jacket at the table behind us turned out to be the Captain.  Yes, our table was next to the Captain's table.

Fortunately we were able to discretely tell our server, Wendell, that we didn't want to be bothered by the Captain this evening.  We were busy toasting Darrell and what his incredible attitude has meant to each of us and how we all live life.  We were busy reflecting on what it means to focus on priorities.
Now it's still light at 10:30 pm, AND we gain an hour tonight.  I'm far too busy to understand any reasoning for this time change.  I'm busy looking at the filled backpacks that Sai (our butler...you remember) laid out for us our trip onto land in the morning.

Happy Day at Sea, Team D!

(PS...Apparently regardless of our international phone plan, data costs a million dollars a minute at sea.  Pictures exist and will someday follow.)--Updated with photos 7/18/18.
