Float Planes, Glaciers, and Bears! Oh My!

Brain cancer is...

...just amazed by Juneau.

This morning we made port in Juneau.  The six of us took a float plane excursion. First of all:  Float plane?  Done it!  Landing on water is much softer than landing on land.

We flew over five glaciers.  (One is pictured, above.) We feel like different people after seeing glaciers live.  It was truly awe inspiring.

We landed at Taku Lodge on the Taku River where we walked through the forest of Sitka Spruce.

We had a delicious grilled salmon feast.  Three bears (yes, really, three) came wandering through the lick the salmon oily sand under the grill.  Here are two of those bears:  Levi and Hobard.  Tthey are a couple.

It was an off-the-charts day.
On to Sitka!
