New Shoes for the Next Miles

Brain cancer is...

 ...burning up the miles.

Apparently we were in Greeley when we surpassed our former Fitbit distance badge, the Monarch Migration (click here for the post, which celebrated 2,500 miles.) As you see, above, on September 4,  we had walked the equivalent of the distance from the Atlantic Ocean to the Red Sea (2,983 miles).

Today's walk took us past 3,000 miles. (Fitbit "lifetime" for us is 19 months.)

Darrell did all 3,000 miles (and more) with brain cancer.  Clearly he required new shoes for the next miles.  Today he tried them out:

Very sharp, right?

When I asked Darrell how the new shoes felt, he replied:  "Stiff yet supportive.  Like a strict parent."

Sometimes this blog just writes itself.

Happy Monday Miles to you, Team D!
