Tucked in at Tiverton

Brain cancer is...

...ready for tomorrow's 8:30 appointment with UCLA's Dr. Cloughesy.

Lunch at the Napa Valley Grille was the usual tasty experience, and we are set for the end of cancer week, January 2019.

Looking Back: Appreciating Super Wolf Blood Moon...Again.

With you, we enjoyed last week's lunar eclipse, the last total lunar eclipse until May 2021.

Let's enjoy it again, with photos from Franceen (Fullerton CA, next door), Curt (Hemet, CA), Chris (also So Cal), and Meridyth (Milton, WI).

First:  The moon was super.  It was super because it was at its perigee, or closest point to Earth. Remember how big and bright it was? It looked 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual.
Super pre-eclipse wolf moon.. Franceen
Second, the moon was a wolf moon.  Howling wolves are the inspiration for the name of the first full moon of the year.

The moon is full, see?  Andi's photo, good for nothing but moon fullness.

Third, the moon was bloody.  Red is the typical color of the moon during a lunar eclipse.
Bumpy but very red!  Meridyth
Eclipsed?  Here's what we saw in Fullerton.
Clouds? No problem!  Franceen
Fourth, the moon is an amazing thing.  Grand finale...

So many good reasons to keep looking up, Team D!
