Getting Our Feet Under Us at Home

Brain cancer is...

...Getting our feet under us at home.

We visited Gordon this morning but missed the photo.  More on that soon.

We talked travels with LuAnn (above) at lunch.  Invigorating!

Then, we necessarily headed to Craig Park to check out a suspicion.  Melanie texted us last night from Hawaii with a picture of a bird, a black-crowned night heron, that made her think of us:
Melanie knew that the black-crowned night heron lives at our park (as in this post).  When we walked to the lake, we confirmed that, sure enough, the heron's spot at Craig Park was empty.
There can be only one explanation:  Our bird was enjoying some travels of its own in Hawaii.  Thanks for that sighting, Melanie!

We did spot this beauty:
Our first walk back in the park and we meet a species we don't know.  Darn.  Maybe this one belongs in Hawaii and did a home exchange with the heron?

In bird unrelated issues, our transition home is proceeding well.

We hope your Tuesday was a success.
