Kidnapped!

Brain cancer is...

...in possession of a criminal mind.

Knowing that I love surprises, Darrell has a pattern of packing a bag, developing a cover story, and kidnapping me for a short vacation.  It’s been several years (pre Optune) since his last heist.

Last night over dinner, I remarked that I didn’t want to do a single thing on our to do list for today.  Taxes? Grocery shopping? On and on went the list.  Yuck.  Apparently Darrell hatched a plan as a result.

This morning the ruse was a walk at Yorba, including shill Egg McMuffins. Instead of heading to the park, he got on the freeway and headed for the coast.

Surprise!

What a day we’ve had.  One highlight:  We ate grilled shrimp while we watched California sea lions play in the rainy harbor.  Then the storm broke and we enjoyed watching the sea lions strike a pose.

We shopped, wandered the tide pools, and ate great meals.  We’ve settled in for night in Dana Point and will be back home in the morning to tackle that to do list.
