[Still] Refashioning Holidays: Let the Feasting Begin!

Brain cancer is...

 ...ready for Easter feasting.

One lesson we have learned through GBM is that a holiday is still a holiday, even if it needs a bit of refashioning.  Easter is one of our holidays and it gets refashioned yearly.

This is our fifth (wow! fifth!) Easter since Darrell's diagnosis; Easter was the first major holiday we faced with GBM.  In our 2016 Easter post (here) we had--thanks to family--an instant Easter.  Last Easter we spent in Westwood with friends (here) before Darrell saw Dr. Cloughesy.

We are very accustomed, then, to reworking a holiday without losing, for us, its essence.

This year's refashioning?  A feast...delivered!  We couldn't get a honey baked ham, so we got inventive and ordered something we like even better. Above you see our stash from our favorite Greek restaurant, the Olive Pit.  Darrell's choice for Easter Sunday?  Lamb!  In two forms!

While we were busy refashioning Easter Sunday's feast, we decided to go ahead and refashion the entire weekend.  We got enough food to eat Greek between now and Easter.  We're considering starting with the baklava.

We hope all is well with you as your refashion your holidays too, Team D.

A Square Inch of Silver Lining

The Carbon Canyon skelly Kristine introduced us to in March (here) is still wearing a mask and is keeping up with the holidays, we heard from Chris.

Today's Blooms

From Kristin's run.  Thanks for lining up, little flowers!
Our table top tulips.  We've never seen tulips transform to satin before.
