Some Surprises Are To Die For.

Brain cancer is...

 ...puzzled.

We received these gifts from Summer and Zach today.  You're great guessers, Team D.  What are they?

No, never mind.  It's too good.  We can't wait.

They are blood spatter pillows!

Summer and Zach know three things about us very well.
(1) We consistently watch (too many) forensic shows.  We only watch the ones where science dispassionately solves the crime, and it all gets wrapped up neatly by the end of the episode.
(2) For a while, Andi was considering pursuing a career as a blood spatter analyst.  Really.
(3) Darrell often feigns death, the victim of a gruesome murder.  Don't act surprised!  We told you that way back in 2018 (here).

Still having trouble imaging the pillows as blood spatter?  Let us help:

Zachary and Summer independently solved the crime immediately.  Can you?

Team D, you know you'll see these pillows again.  We apologize in advance.

Cheers to Friday!

Today's Blooms
From Curt:  His sunflowers grew up!  He says this one was winking yesterday.

Today it has eyes wide open.
From Christine:  A firework tree?  Fitting.

  1. One possible solution... Darrell got too close to the firework tree when it blew up.

  2. Nice Christine, creative.. im going with a knife fight with James West where Big D, clearly the bad guy, was knifed in the spleen and experienced head trama upon falling

  3. Well, Christine, thanks for giving us a starting point for your first lesson in blood spatter analysis. And nice job tying to the bloom of the day! Curt, your explanation is more consistent with the evidence. James West is a likely bet; however, we have no DNA analysts in the house. We really appreciate you two giving it a try. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
